When asked about the interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, he acknowledged the noise but refused to be drawn in.

“It’s impossible not to hear about it because everyone’s talking about it. You’re away from it, and whether you like it or not, you see it; even my friends tell me because they’re out there all day looking at things.
“It inevitably reaches you, but as I said, I’m still focused on working with Real Sociedad,” he said.
On the supposed battle between Barcelona and Real Madrid for his signature, he was equally dismissive.
“I’ve seen a few things; a lot of things are said, but I don’t know anything and I’m not worried about it, to be honest. My plan is what I’ve already said: to focus on Real Sociedad,” he added.
When pressed on whether Real Sociedad fans could rest easy, his answer was simple and direct. “That’s right, absolutely.”
Real Sociedad have Martin tied down until 2031 with a €60 million release clause – a figure that may yet test the resolve of Europe’s biggest clubs including Barcelona.
