“With his situation, people are like, ‘Oh, it’s a double standard, nothing happened to him, he gets to keep his job, and all that stuff,’ and there’s no issues there,” Parker said.

He added, “And it’s just a couple of things. It is a different situation, one is moral, one is professional.

Parker’s point centers on the distinction between Russini’s professional consequences and Vrabel’s standing within the NFL.

While Russini’s role as a reporter brought questions of ethics and boundaries, Vrabel’s situation has been treated as separate from league discipline.
