ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Most college softball teams would take a record of 42-3 and run with it. That’s where Rock Valley College’s record sits after the Golden Eagles swept a doubleheader from Harper College Monday.
RVC took the first game 10-2 and the second game 10-0. Those two wins also extended the Golden Eagles’ winning streak to 17.
Macy Sabish and Addie Seitz got the job done in the circle in the two games. Sidney Spindel had the biggest highlight of the first game when she belted a solo home run over the left field fence.
In the second game, McKenzie Culvey drove in three runs.
The Golden Eagles now get a little break. They won’t play again until Saturday when they host a doubleheader against Joliet Junior College. The first game will start at noon.
