Rockies fans won't like seeing where their team sits in latest power rankings

This has been quite the slide by the Rockies, but it could have been a case of catching these teams at the right time. The Braves are off to a scorching start, while the Mets and Phillies are still trying to dig themselves out of an early hole, but are playing better baseball as of late.

With the big slide last week, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter had no choice but to bump Colorado down to No. 30 in his latest power rankings piece.

"After a respectable 13-14 showing in April, the Rockies have stumbled to a 2-7 record to begin May while suffering their fourth straight series loss when they fell to the Phillies on Sunday. On a positive note, it looks like Chase Dollander is the real deal on the mound."

Now, there are some positives for fans to look toward, like what Chase Dollander is doing on the mound. He's compiled a 3-2 record with a 3.35 ERA and 47 strikeouts on 43 innings of work in his first full season in the big leagues.

Now, the team will look to turn it around in a series against the Pittsburgh Pirates and then the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend.
