Last week at the Truist Championship, Rory McIlroy revealed he was dealing with a blister under his pinky toe on his right foot that was causing him discomfort.
"It’s underneath my nail,” McIlroy said. “So I can’t really get to it. So it’s a little sore, but I’ll be all right.”

Although McIlroy didn't expect the issue to cause long-term problems, on Tuesday during a practice round ahead of the PGA Championship, the Masters champion ended his practice round early due to discomfort with the same toe.
McIlroy played three holes Tuesday afternoon at Aronimink before hopping on a cart and heading back to the clubhouse. Between shots, he was taking off his shoe and messing with his right toe before deciding to call it a day. ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported McIlroy was in the clubhouse trying on new shoes Tuesday afternoon.
It's unlikely McIlroy is going to miss the PGA, as ending Tuesday's practice round early is likely a precaution to make sure he's ready before the first round. McIlroy is set to tee off at 8:40 a.m. ET Thursday alongside Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth.
