Rumours that Alejandro Garnacho might be sold by Chelsea spread after the Saturday night defeat to Man U, almost as a response to the Argentineâs horrible performance in that game.
By the time yesterdayâs press conference had come around, the story had got big enough that Liam Rosenior had to field questions about it.
As youâd expect, he batted the rumours away.
Rosenior backs Garnacho, but admits heâs not in form
âIâd like to know the source of the report. Reports can come from anywhere. He is 21 years old. He is someone who has special qualities when he is in a good place and heâs in form. Itâs my job is to help him reach those levels.â
That statement rubbishes the rumours, but implicitly says that Garnacho isnât in good form. We didnât need to be told that to be honest â you can tell from the way Garnacho has been benched even with Jamie Gittens out injured recently that Rosenior doesnât fancy him.
If there is a half decent offer for the former United winger, weâre sure Chelsea would take it. Sadly itâs doubtful weâll get one.
