The Rose-Hulman men's tennis team jumped into the ITA national rankings at the beginning of April, being ranked 58th in the country across all NCAA Division III programs.

• Engineers split — At Louisville, Ky., Rose-Hulman split a doubleheader at Spalding on Thursday.
Rose-Hulman dropped the first game 5-4 before bouncing back with a 6-4 victory in Game 2.
Aubrey Smith performed strong in the circle in Game 1 as she went 7.2 innings with five strikeouts. Emily Hodges led the team at the plate, going 2 for 3 with one run scored.
In Game 2, the Engineers' Audrey Theuring earned the win in the circle. Katelyn Sarvis went 2 for 3 with a run scored and two RBIs and Abi Shearer went 2 for 4 with two runs scored.
Rose-Hulman will host Franklin for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader next Friday.
Prep baseball
• West Vigo 7, South Knox 5, 11 innings — At West Vigo, Colton Enyeart's 11th-inning homer capped a day of comebacks for the host Vikings.
West Vigo trailed 4-0 after four innings but scored twice in the fifth and seventh innings. South Knox also took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 10th, only to have West Vigo tie the game in the bottom of the inning.
Enyeart finished 3 for 6, including his game-winning blast, while Reese Wilbur was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Alan Ramirez was 2 for 4. Enyeart pitched the first seven innings for the Vikings, Wilbur the last four, neither giving up an earned run.
Both teams had road games scheduled for Friday, West Vigo (5-2) at Clay City and South Knox (3-5) at Washington.
Prep softball
• Robinson 3, Casey 1 — At Casey, Ill., the Maroons defeated the Warriors in a Little Illini Conference game Thursday.
Eva Hermann pitched a four-hitter and led Robinson with a hit, two RBIs and a run scored while Anna Karras had a hit and a run scored to lead Casey.
Robinson (11-6, 1-1 LIC) hosts Terre Haute South and Casey (21-2, 1-1 LIC) hosts Dieterich, both Saturday.
Girls tennis
• Bloomington North 5, Terre Haute South 0 — At South, the host Braves dropped a Conference Indiana match Thursday.
Singles — Sarah Kaviani (BN) def. Anneke Donker 6-1, 6-1; Casey O'Connell (BN) def. Kaylee Morris 6-2, 6-1; Mishka Iyer (BN) def. Alyssa Doll 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-7).
Doubles — Lilia McHaley-Oakley Yoder (BN) def. Ellie Luken-Ella Wright 6-2, 6-2; Ally O'Quinn-Ashley Stegemoller (BN) def. Maesyn Haase-Bella Worrall 6-2, 6-4.

• Wolves' boys, Falcons' girls victorious — At Cayuga, the Parke Heritage boys and North Vermillion girls emerged victorious at a three-way meet Thursday night.
The Parke Heritage boys recorded 59 points, followed by Fountain Central with 53 and North Vermillion with 42. The North Vermillion girls tallied 65 points with Parke Heritage and Fountain Central tied at 44.
Hallie Miller of Parke Heritage was a triple winner in the girls competition, taking both hurdles races as well as shot put.
Andre Buchhaas of North Vermillion won the shot put and discus in the boys meet.
