A rumor suggests the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may trade up in Round 2 of the NFL Draft to find a replacement for Mike Evans. Miami's Rueben Bain Jr. is a potential target despite concerns about his arm length.
A new rumor opens the door for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make a bold move up in Round 2 of the NFL Draft and get an intriguing prospect to replace franchise legend Mike Evans.
At the NFL Combine, Miami star Rueben Bain Jr. became a divisive figure after it was revealed his arms were shorter than the norm for productive EDGE rushers in the NFL. Nevertheless, he was still seen as a player who should go in the top 10 after playing a pivotal role in the Hurricanes’ reaching the National Championship game in January.
However, 14 teams, including the Miami Dolphins, passed on the talented EDGE rusher. But Tampa did not, and may have landed a better player than they expected with their selection at 15 overall. But it is hard to be that lucky twice, and the team still needs to find a player to fill the big void left by six-time Pro Bowler Mike Evans.

Well, a new rumor offers up the chances for the Buccaneers to do just that early in Round 2. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, “The San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, and Buffalo Bills have received calls about potential trades at the top of Round 2 tonight, setting up what could be a busy trade night.”
Denzel Boston and Rueben Bain Jr. are among the prospects being considered as replacements for Mike Evans.
Rueben Bain Jr. was passed on due to concerns about his shorter-than-average arm length for an EDGE rusher, despite his strong performance at Miami.
Rueben Bain Jr. plays as an EDGE rusher and is significant due to his pivotal role in leading Miami to the National Championship game.

The trio of teams has the first picks on Friday at 33, 34, and 35. Washington receiver Denzel Boston is among the best players still available. He has a very good starting burst, nice speed, is impressive in winning the jump ball and contested pass battle, and is a problem in the red zone. Skills pretty similar to the Buccaneers legend.
Tampa Bay’s first pick in Round 2 is at 46. So it would be a notable jump to move up to the front of the line on Friday night. However, with three teams willing to move back, the opportunity is there to land a very nice prospect to pair up with budding star Emeka Egbuka in the years ahead.
