Marques Colston will announce a New Orleans Saints pick at the 2026 NFL Draft on April 24. The Saints hold the 42nd and 73rd overall picks in the draft.
New Orleans Saints fans in attendance at next week's 2026 NFL Draft are in for a treat -- legendary wide receiver Marques Colston will announce one of the team's picks on the second day of the event. The Saints are scheduled to go on the clock at No. 42 (in Round 2) and 73 overall (in Round 3) on Friday, April 24. The first round of picks begins Thursday, April 23, and the draft will end with the final four rounds of selections on Saturday, April 25.
Colston, a Pennsylvania native from Harrisburg, was a seventh-round pick by New Orleans back in 2006. He arrived with low expectations from a smaller program (his alma mater at Hofstra University doesn't even have a football team anymore) and went on to set franchise records for receptions (711), receiving yards (9,759), and touchdown catches (72). Each of those records are still standing. Despite his sky-high production, Colston was never selected for the Pro Bowl, making him an easy choice for our "Actually Underrated" Team.
He won't be the only former Saints great stepping to the podium on Friday night. Running back Mark Ingram II, who set the Saints' rushing records before his protege Alvin Kamara reset them, has been chosen to announce the Baltimore Ravens' picks on Day 2 as well; Ingram appeared in 27 games over two years with Baltimore, including the playoffs. While he's best known for his work with New Orleans, the team that drafted him, Ingram made fans in a host of NFL cities throughout his career.
