SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Long time San Angelo Rodeo announcer Boyd Polyhamus sat down with KLST to talk about the rodeo and the weather.
Polyhamus first talked about the weather San Angelo has had these past few days because it has been mugging and raining. Today there was even peas sized hail coming down right before the Rodeo started it performance.
He said the rain was affecting the ramp all the animals and contestants use to get into the coliseum. He said it became very slick. Then they decided to throw more dirt on the ramp, and it became safer for the contestants and animals that were passing over that ramp. Polyhamus said it delayed the start of the Rodeo.
Polyhamus lastly, talked about his 31-year-old co-announcer.
