Barcelona are facing a major transfer dilemma as fresh interest emerges for Raphinha, but luckily, the player’s position is already very clear.
According to recent reports from El Pais, clubs from the Saudi Pro League are prepared to make a huge financial push to sign Raphinha.
The proposed deal could reach €90 million, with a salary package of around €30 million per year.
Despite the scale of the offer, those close to the Brazilian winger insist that money is not his priority.
Providing insight into his mindset, sources from his camp have made his position clear, saying,
“Rafa doesn’t want to leave Barça. He always says the same thing: ‘I want glory, not money’.”
Interest from Saudi Arabia is serious and well-funded. As per the outlet, at least two clubs are willing to meet Barcelona’s valuation and offer Raphinha a salary that is nearly three times what he currently earns in Spain.
While the figures do not reach the extreme levels seen with Cristiano Ronaldo, the proposal still represents a life-changing contract.

However, the player’s desire to continue competing at the highest level in Europe remains unchanged.
Raphinha’s situation this season has been anything but straightforward. The Brazilian has just returned from his fourth injury of the campaign, which has disrupted his rhythm and limited his availability.
In total, he has missed 23 matches and spent 114 days sidelined, a record that has created concern within the club and posed challenges for Hansi Flick.
Although he is now back in the squad for the clash against Osasuna, his long-term reliability remains a point of discussion behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, on the transfer front, a potential €90 million sale would significantly ease financial pressure and could help the club comply with La Liga’s financial regulations, including the 1:1 rule.
Such a deal would also provide the flexibility to reinvest in key areas of the squad and pursue priority transfer targets in the upcoming window.
Ultimately, while Raphinha’s personal preference is to stay and succeed at Barcelona, the final decision may not be as easy as it may seem from the outside.
