Savannah Bananas legend gets big break with Atlanta Braves

Reports surfaced Tuesday that the Atlanta Braves are calling up Bananas alum Hayden Harris. Harris made his Braves debut last season, appearing in three games.

Over that span, he threw more than 140 innings, recording 166 strikeouts while allowing just 85 earned runs. The Braves signed him as an undrafted free agent in June 2022.

Since then, Harris has steadily climbed the minor league ranks. Across all levels, he has compiled a 15–8 record with an impressive 3.12 ERA, logging more than 160 innings over 135 appearances.

Now, he continues his big-league journey in the Braves bullpen — another remarkable chapter in baseball’s endless supply of stories.
