Forest Hills 6, Berlin Brothersvalley 4: In Sidman, the Rangers scored twice in three separate innings to hand the Mountaineers their first loss of the season.
Forest Hills’ Trista Cruley totaled two hits, and Morgan Gdula scored three runs. Bryn Roberts and Taylor Snyder each drove in a run. Rhory Whetstone struck out four and walked seven in a complete-game victory.
Berlin Brothersvalley’s Sam Walker collected two doubles, two runs and two RBIs for the 9-1 Mountaineers.
Walker permitted six runs, one earned, over the first five innings.
Walker struck out four.
Bishop McCort Catholic 2, Bellwood-Antis 1: In Bellwood, Lariah Myers struck out eight batters and scattered four hits as the Crimson Crushers edged the Blue Devils.
With the score tied 1-all in the sixth inning, Kylie Durst delivered the go-ahead RBI. Durst totaled two hits and two RBIs.
Bellwood-Antis’ Hayden Taylor hit a solo homer in the fifth.
Conemaugh Valley 8, Richland 0: Maddie Beiter fanned eight batters in a three-hit shutout, and Megan Bilak blasted two homers and drove in five runs to power the host Blue Jays past the Rams.
Bilak hit a solo shot in the first inning, and added a three-run homer in the sixth. Laine Poborski totaled two hits.
Richland’s Alea Ladika, Elle Ladika and Marissa Naylor each singled.
Meyersdale 12, Shade-Shanksville 2 (5): In Meyersdale, Abigail Beal, Karleigh Beal (double), Madison Berkley (double), Sarah Hainsworth (double) and Isabella Sleasman (double) each delivered two hits as the Red Raiders downed the Panthers.
Berkley fanned four batters and allowed two runs over five innings.
Ella Deal tripled, and Kendell Donaldson stole two bases. Keira Eberly drove in three runs, while Berkley and Sleasman each plated two.
Shade-Shanksville’s Patty Kovacs and Hayden Maddy each doubled. Tori Bowers and Kovacs both drove in a run.
Yough 11, Ligonier Valley 6: In Herminie, Brooke Kowalski was 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs as the Cougars, who scored all 11 runs in the third inning, clawed past the Rams.
Kylee Odelli and Kenzie Smartnick each added two hits.
Ligonier Valley’s Marlee Miller was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and Scout Hinton finished 3-for-3.
Maggie Peters doubled among her two hits and drove in three runs. Elyse Witcoski added two knocks.
Thursday
Bedford 15, Richland 5 (6): Emma Byers went 3-for-4 with three doubles and five RBIs at the plate, and fanned five over the final three innings, allowing two unearned runs, to lead the Bisons over the host Rams.
Bedford scored six runs in the fourth inning, and seven in the fifth.
Bedford received two knocks each from Rebekah Costal (double, three runs), Peyton Koontz, Leah Nee (triple) and Sammi Shoemaker. Lara Bulger and Annalise Van Horn each drove in two runs.
