McIlroy finishes the 2026 Masters with a 12-under par victory after narrowing escaping the final hole of the tournament with a bogey. However, Schefflerâs incredible weekend of mistake-free golf still deserves major plaudits.
In fact, itâs been 84 years since a player finished all four rounds without a single bogey. The world number one nearly mounted an epic comeback to win his third green jacket during his young career.
Schefflerâs amazing third round at Augusta featured a 7-under par round on Saturday. That even led to an odd question from a reporter irking Scheffler after he put up a massively impressive score.
