Seahawks building Super Bowl bond at voluntary workouts

A big reason why the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX was the close-knit nature of their team. Head coach Mike Macdonald and the veteran players often reiterated the bond they built in the locker room throughout the 2025 season. That mutual respect and appreciation helped carry the Seahawks through adversary en route to Super Bowl glory.

The goal heading into the 2026 campaign is to build a similar bond in the locker room. The roster has undergone some major offseason changes. Recognizable names like Kenneth Walker III, Coby Bryant, Boye Mafe, and Riq Woolen are no longer in Seattle. Every year is different, and the 2026 iteration of the Seahawks will be tasked with recapturing last year's magic.

The early signs are promising. The Seahawks are currently holding voluntary offseason workouts at their facility. Stress "voluntary" as the key word. Despite that, veteran superstar defensive tackle Leonard Williams is in attendance. That signals a commitment to greatness.

Veteran stars around the league often skip voluntary workouts in May. Williams' presence at Seattle's sessions sets a terrific example and standard for the 2026 season. If Williams, a Pro Bowler, is there, everyone else should be as well. The Seahawks are focused on building another Super Bowl-level bond despite undergoing offseason change.
