The Seattle Seahawks' defense ranks fourth in Bleacher Report's post-draft rankings. Key returning players include Leonard Williams, Devon Witherspoon, and Ernest Jones IV, bolstered by new draft picks in the secondary.
The Seattle Seahawksâ defense was vital toward them winning the Super Bowl at the end of the 2025 season. However, after free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft, does Seattle have the best defense in the NFL heading into next season?
According to Bleacher Reportâs Gary Davenport, the Seahawks have the fourth-best defense in the league following the conclusion of this yearâs draft.
Leonard Williams, Devon Witherspoon and Ernest Jones IV, the Seahawksâ three All-Pro honorees on defense from the 2025 season, are returning to Seattle in 2026. The Seahawks still have edge rushers DeMarcus Lawrence and Derick Hall to flank opposing quarterbacks next season. Nick Emmanwori and Josh Jobe give the Seahawks commendable coverage in the secondary.
Seattle also addressed its secondary more than any other positions of need in the draft this year, having selected a safety and three cornerbacks with four of their eight selections in the event. The Seahawks are primed to play with a level of verve similar to the way that they played in 2025.
