The Seattle Seahawks are going to have a great defense once again in 2026, even though they lost Riq Woolen at cornerback, Coby Bryant at safety, and Boye Mafe at edge rusher.
They addressed the CB and S needs in the offseason already, but the edge rusher spot still has a bit of uncertainty.
ESPN's Aaron Schatz called it the Seahawks biggest roster hole after the 2026 NFL Draft, and for good reason.
"The Seahawks like to rotate their edge rushers, as their top four last season all played between 36% and 56% of defensive snaps," Schatz writes.
While they signed Dante Fowler Jr. as some extra depth, the team still hasn't adequately replaced Mafe's departure this offseason. Schatz linked Seattle to a few veterans, including and , both of whom would be great options for Seattle.

With the Seahawks running a rotation of edge rushers on defense, they will need more options than they currently have.
DeMarcus Lawrence (34 years old), Uchenna Nwosu (30), Fowler Jr., Derick Hall, Jared Ivey, and Patrick O'Connell do not make up a good enough edge rusher room.
If the Seahawks could add someone like Bosa, who had five sacks last season and has 77 for his career, the depth at edge rusher wouldn't be an issue at all.
Bosa would be a nice pickup for Seattle, and would make for a fun matchup twice a year when Seattle and Bosa face the San Francisco 49ers and his brother Nick Bosa.
Reddick might be a cheaper option, though he would be a fun one for the Seahawks. He has 61.5 sacks in his career, with just 3.5 in the last two seasons.
He was elite with the Philadelphia Eagles, posting 16 and 11 sacks in 2022 and 2023. While it's been a minute since he's been great, in a rotation like what the Seahawks run, he could return to his prime form for a season.
Seattle should seriously entertain adding one of these two great options at the edge rusher spot. And if not, they should look to add a bit more depth beyond simply signing Fowler.
It doesn't have to be the top name(s) on the market, but considering the loss of Mafe, this defense needs someone a bit more impactful to help maintain their strong rotation of edge rushers in 2026.
