Seahawks-Patriots announced to open 2026 NFL season

For Seattle Seahawks fans, the long offseason celebration of Super Bowl victory will officially end in early September, with a familiar foe.

The reigning champs will begin their 2026 campaign with a Super Bowl rematch -- and a special Wednesday night game -- on Sept. 9 against the New England Patriots. The other early schedule highlight is a spot on Christmas Day, hosting the L.A. Rams in an evening game slated for national broadcast on FOX.

The Seahawks will not play any international games in 2026.
