Seahawks waive UDFA rookie for ‘Failure to disclose physical condition’

The Seattle Seahawks signed two rookie wide receivers on Thursday, and they’ve also moved on from a second player from their UDFA rookie class.

Per the NFL’s official transaction write, former Cal-Poly receiver Michael Briscoe was waived for a “failure to disclose physical condition.” It also sounds like he had a rough rookie minicamp, which might have made Seattle’s decision that much easier to make.

There’s an ambiguity to “failure to disclose physical condition” that has some financial implications. As Seahawksdraftblog.com columnist and cap specialist Curtis Allen notes, it’s possible that the guaranteed money Briscoe received could be void.
