Seattle Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon and defensive tackle Leonard Williams are two prime candidates to receive contract extensions this offseason.
According to Pro Football Focus' Bradley Locker, Witherspoon is due for an extension on his rookie deal in the territory of Los Angeles Rams CB Trent McDuffie's four-year, $124 million extension, while Williams is in line to end his career in Seattle on an extension of his own.
Witherspoon signed a four-year, $31.8 million rookie deal with the Seahawks after getting drafted by Seattle with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was a second-team All-Pro honoree for the first time in 2025 after recording an interception and seven passes defensed on the year. Witherspoon helped the Seahawks win the Super Bowl at the end of last season and has several calling cards to warrant a lucrative extension.
Williams was also a second-team All-Pro honoree for the first time in 2025. He went for seven sacks and 22 quarterback hits last season. Williams is approaching the final year of the three-year, $64.5 million deal that he signed with the Seahawks in 2024. The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks have the chance to keep him in Seattle for several more seasons in hopes of maintaining their status as Super Bowl contenders.
