Georgia tight end Oscar Delp is visiting multiple NFL teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings, ahead of the NFL Draft. With the draft just days away, these visits are crucial for his potential selection.
The NFL Draft is upon us, and we are eight days away as we sit here. Wednesday, April 15, is the last day for teams to host players on visits so the last few days have been busy ones for players and teams alike.
One of the players who is making a few last-minute rounds is Georgia tight end Oscar Delp. He has wrapped up visits with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings, to name a few.
Delp is someone who has been around for several years, at least in the minds of college football fans. He seemingly never got a chance to break out the way he showed he could while playing at Georgia. However, in the NFL, he has a chance to take the next step in his development, as the team he lands with could have a diamond in the rough on its hands.
Vikings Wire wrote in the Summer in their Delp scouting report, "Delp showcases so many traits you want out of your tight end and is the complete package for a team. He doesn't do anything significant, but he does everything well enough to be a starter on day one."
Delp is coming into the league fresh and has shown a variety of skills. However, he is likely to have to wait until Saturday of draft weekend to find his home, and that could include the Bucs or Vikings.
