Shortstop Justin Lebron resumed competition as usual in the first inning of Alabama baseball's final regular season series against Ole Miss.
The Rebels took an early 1-0 lead in Game 1, but Lebron responded with a homer in his first at-bat back since a scary collision that caused him to miss most of last weekend's series at South Carolina.
Lebron's hit traveled 392 feet over the left centerfield fence at The Joe, moving at 104 miles per hour, according to UA athletics. He gave the Crimson Tide a 2-1 lead, scoring Bryce Fowler.
For Game 1 against Ole Miss, Lebron was initially listed as probable, but was removed from the gameday report on Thursday, May 14. Since he was unintentionally clotheslined by a Gamecock first baseman late in Columbia last Friday, Lebron had been in concussion protocol.
Lebron's home run against Ole Miss marked his 14th of the season.
