Here are how Muskingum Valley's diamond kings fared.
Sheridan (19-5) earned the No. 3 seed in the Southeast District behind No. 1 Jackson (17-3) and No. 2 Washington Court House Miami Trace (15-4-1), the team that defeated them in the last two districts at Ohio University.
The Generals host No. 6 Hillsboro (10-11) at 5 p.m. on May 20 for a berth in the semifinals against the Miami Trace/No. 7 Vincent Warren (11-12) winner at 6:30 p.m. on May 27 at OU's Bob Wren Stadium.
Jackson gets No. 8 Marietta (9-11) and No. 4 Athens (14-8) hosts No. 5 Chillicothe (8-11) in the upper half, with the winners playing in the game prior to the lower bracket game on May 27.
The finals are set for 7 p.m.
In the East District, Tri-Valley earned the No. 4 seed and Zanesville No. 6 in the six-team bracket, where Wintersville Indian Creek (16-5) and New Philadelphia earned the top two seeds.
The Scotties travel to No. 3 Steubenville at 5 p.m. on May 18 for a chance to play Indian Creek in the semifinals. Below them, Zanesville and No. 5 ______ meet at 5 p.m. on May 18 at Dover City Park, with the winner traveling to play the Quakers at 5 p.m. game on at Tuscora Park.
The two bracket winners play for a regional bid against the Central District No. 2 bracket winner at 5 p.m. on May 28 at a site to be determined.
Indian Valley earned the No. 1 seed in the East, where two bracket winners reach the regional at a site to be announced by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
In Bracket 1, No. 6 Philo (13-9) hosts No. 11 Maysville (8-12) at 5 p.m. on May 19, with the winner either traveling to No. 3 Richmond Edison (13-6) or hosting No. 12 Millersburg West Holmes (5-13) at 5 p.m. on May 27.
That winner gets either Indian Valley (14-5), who received a bye, or the winner of No. 10 John Glenn (8-14) and No. 7 Meadowbrook (11-10), who play at 5 p.m. on May 19 in Byesville. Those winners play at 5 p.m. on May 27 in Gnadenhutten for a finals bid.
In Bracket 2, Carrollton (14-9) earned the No. 2 seed and plays No. 8 Minerva (11-11) or No. 13 Rayland Buckeye Local (5-15) for a berth in the finals at 5 p.m. on May 27.
In the bottom half, No. 4 Cambridge (12-6) welcomes No. 14 East Liverpool (3-19) and No. 5 East Liverpool Beaver Local (14-9) entertains No. 9 Claymont, with the winners playing at the higher-seeded team's site at 5 p.m. on May 27.
Both district finals are at 5 p.m. on May 29 at sites to be determined by the East District. The winners of the two district finals will play in the regional opener at 5 p.m. on June 3 at a neutral site to be determined; the finals will be against the Southeast District representative.
New Lexington (9-10) earned a No. 12 seed in the Southeast and travels to No. 5 Greenfield McClain (12-8) for a 5 p.m. game on May 19. The winner gets either No. 4 Gallipolis Gallia Academy (15-7) or No. 13 Pomeroy Meigs (9-11) at 1:30 p.m. on May 23 at OU.
In the upper half, No. 1 Fairfield Union (16-4) plays the winner of No. 8 Williamsport Westfall (10-8) and No. 9 Circleville (8-13) at 11 a.m. on May 23 at OU. The two bracket winners return at 6:30 p.m. on May 26 to Bob Wren Stadium for the regional bid.
The second Southeast bracket features No. 2 Chillicothe Unioto (16-5) and No. 3 Wheelersburg (12-9), along with No. 6 Waverly (11-10), No. 7 Circleville Logan Elm (9-9), No. 10 McArthur Vinton County (9-8) and No. 11 Washington Court House (7-12).
Ridgewood (15-8) is the No. 3 seed behind top-seeded Barnesville and No. 2 Cadiz Harrison Central (15-8) and chose the bottom half of the Huskies' bracket.
They get a first-round home game against No. 13 seed Morgan (5-17) at 5 p.m. on May 19, with the winner playing either No. 6 Sandy Valley (13-6) or No. 7 St. Clairsville (12-10) in the semifinals at 5 p.m. on May 26 at the higher-seeded team's site.
West Muskingum (12-12), the No. 9 seed, is in the upper half and host No. 11 Tuscarawas Valley (5-15-1) at 5 p.m. on May 19, with eyes on a road affair against the Huskies at 5 p.m. on May 26 in the semifinals. The finals are at 5 p.m. on May 28 at a neutral site.
In Bracket 1, No. 10 Coshocton (11-13) plays at No. 8 Belmont Union Local (9-10) at 5 p.m. on May 19, with the winner getting a road semifinal game at Barnesville at 5 p.m. on May 26.
River View (5-12) is the No. 12 seed and travels to No. 5 Martins Ferry at 5 p.m. on May 18 in the bottom half; the winner plays either No. 4 Garaway (13-8) or No. 14 Navarre Fairless for a semifinal bid at the higher-seeded team's site.
The finals are at 5 p.m. on May 28 at a neutral site.
One team advances to the regional among 11 combatants.
Defending state champion Hiland is the No. 1 seed and Toronto is the No. 2, while Fort Frye (17-5) is No. 3 and gets the winner of No. 8 Newcomerstown (5-9) vs. No. 9 Crooksville (5-11) at 5 p.m. on May 20 in Beverly for a semifinal bid.
The Ceramics and Trojans play at 5 p.m. on May 18 in Newcomerstown.
The finals are set for 5 p.m. on May 29 at a neutral site.
One team reaches the regional in the nine-team field, where Rosecrans (12-4) is the No. 2 seed and hosts No. 6 Malvern at 5 p.m. on May 20 at Gant Municipal Stadium.
That winner plays either No. 3 Hannibal River or No. 7 New Matamoras Frontier in the semifinals at 5 p.m. on March 26. The game will be at Gant if Rosecrans wins.
Above them, No. 1 Strasburg and No. 4 Shadyside have first-round games.
The finals are set for 5 p.m. on May 28 at a neutral site.
