See the full order of picks for Round 1 of 2026 NFL Draft, including Texans

The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday night in Pittsburgh, where the Houston Texans will have options when looking to welcome in a new group of rookies to the roster.

All eyes will be on the first round, which features several teams with multiple picks and a handful of franchise who are looking to trade back. As for the Texans? Rumors are that they could be looking to move up for a player in the mid-teens range. Then again, if there's an expected run on offensive tackles, general manager Nick Caserio could be looking to move down.

Since being hired, Caserio has made it clear that he'll be aggressive for the players he wants. He's also made sure to move out of Round 1 if possible, having only selected four players in two drafts on Thursday night. Since the Texans will be selecting 28th overall, the options could be limited for Houston, thus leading to a potential trade back.

Right now, everything is on the table as the Las Vegas Raiders get ready to hand in the card and select Heisman-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza. That doesn't mean there won't be some surprises in store in the first round, especially with moves around the Dallas Cowboys.
