And now, two of Italy’s most reliable journalists have confirmed that Sarri will be Napoli’s first choice to fill in for Conte. Gianluca Di Marzio delved into the situation during his podcast ‘Caffè Di Marzio’ (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
Sarri is definitely Napoli’s first choice if they ever end up divorcing Conte. De Laurentiis doesn’t want to lose (sporting director Giovanni) Manna and would like the new Napoli to be entrusted to the coach who has given him the most excitement in terms of his playing style, namely Maurizio Sarri. Even in this case, there are contracts in place: Conte’s contract with Napoli, Sarri’s contract with Lazio, and, like Manna’s contract with Napoli before him. It’s a question of contracts, a question of willpower, a question of emotions, a question of converging conditions for a new start.
Alfredo Pedulla added further confirmation to the news, insisting that the current Lazio boss is indeed the first name on Napoli’s managerial shortlist.
