The race for the title of Brazil’s top scorer in 2026 is heating up!

With the two goals he scored in Flamengo’s 4-0 thrashing of Atlético-MG in the latest round of the Brasileirão, Pedro moved into second place in the national rankings, reaching 15 goals this season.

The Flamengo striker overtook Grêmio’s Carlos Vinícius, who now sits in third place with 13 goals.

Right behind them, Série A’s elite pack is still close on their heels: Calleri (São Paulo) and Flaco López (Palmeiras) are tied with 11 goals each.

What might perhaps surprise everyone is that the leader does not play in the top tier of Brazilian football.

Despite the strong performances of Série A’s stars, the top of the list belongs to Alex Choco of Operário-MS.

The striker is the outright leader in Brazil’s scoring charts with 19 goals in 2026.

Although he has yet to find the net in Brazil’s Série D, the player put up impressive numbers in the first half of the year: 15 goals in the Campeonato Sul-Mato-Grossense and another 4 split between the Copa Centro-Oeste and the Copa Verde.
