Los Angeles Lakers star Austin Reaves suffered an injury scare in the third quarter of Game 2 of their second-round matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night. This is after an incident involving reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Reaves immediately hit the deck, clutching his right shoulder after getting tangled up with Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder star appeared to have pulled on Reaves’ arm as he tried to get open at the top of the key.

The fans on social media are now calling out Gilgeous-Alexander for what they believe is a dirty play against Reaves.
“That’s a crazy dirty play from SGA,” a comment on X read.
“Umm… that looked a little vicious from SGA on AR,” said another.
“SGA just tried to take Austin’s arm out of its socket,” accused a user.
“Did a dirty foul because the refs aren’t calling his flops lmao” a reaction read.
During Game 2 of the Lakers vs. Thunder series, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got tangled with Austin Reaves, causing Reaves to clutch his shoulder in pain.

The folks on social media clearly aren’t happy with Gilgeous-Alexander. They are now accusing him of being a dirty player.
The referees called an offensive foul against Gilgeous-Alexander on the play, his fourth in the game. The Thunder coaching staff disagreed with the call and challenged it.
The challenge was unsuccessful, and it resulted in the foul being upgraded to a Flagrant 1.
Fortunately, Reaves did not seem to injure his shoulder during the incident. He remained in the game and seemed fine after the foul.
The Lakers are down in this one and are staring at the possibility of going down 2-0 in the series. As of writing, the Thunder have a 95-88 lead with 9:14 remaining in the fourth quarter.
