Gilgeous-Alexander was a one-man machine against the Suns. He averaged 33.8 points on 55.1% shooting, eight assists and 3.8 rebounds in the Round 1 series ā finally beating the narrative that he needed a playoff series to get going in the NBA playoffs.
In a David-Goliath series, Dillon Brooks tried his best to poke the bear. Instead, Gilgeous-Alexander kept things strictly on the court. Once Game 4 ended, the Team Canada teammates embraced. And then the next day, Gilgeous-Alexander had some fun on Instagram
In his latest Instagram caption, Gilgeous-Alexander posted an AI-created photo of Brooks. He pointed at him after scoring a bucket. And instead of the back of his jersey saying his last name, it said 'Cancun' for the wordplay of "Cancun in 3" ā a famous saying usually associated with NBA teams who are booted out of the playoffs.

Honestly, Brooks' villain arc was probably the most entertaining part of the Round 1 series. He had some viral pregame theatrics and postgame comments that overtook what actually happened on the court. He was also Phoenix's best player as he put up 26 points and six rebounds.
