Shane Lowry hit a hole-in-one on the sixth hole during the third round of the 2026 Masters on April 11. This marked the seventh ace on that hole in tournament history and brought Lowry to within four shots of the leader, Rory McIlroy.

Lowry, among a group trying to chase defending champion Rory McIlroy atop the leaderboard, teed off 190 yards from the sixth hole. His 7-iron shot took two hopes on the green before rolling into the hole and sending the patrons into a frenzy.
It was the seventh hole-in-one on the sixth hole at the Masters in tournament history, according to CBS. It was also the second ace in Lowry's career at the tournament: he completed the feat in the final round in 2016 on the famed 16th hole.
It also brought Lowry to within four shots of McIlroy and in a three-way tie for second place at 8 under for the tournament.
