The Los Angeles Dodgers made some changes to their lineup for the second of three games against the New York Mets.
LA dispatched the Mets in the opening game of the series Monday with minimal struggle, shutting them out in a 4-0 win. Justin Wrobleski threw eight shutout innings, and a three-run Andy Pages home run later in the game closed the door on New York, who haven’t scored a run in three of their last four games.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the nod for the second game of the series, and will look to power LA to their fourth consecutive series win. The right-hander has had a great start to the season, posting a 2.50 ERA through three starts and logging 14 strikeouts in 18 innings pitched.

Designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, who has a 47-game on-base streak, will lead off for LA as always despite being hit by a pitch in his right shoulder in the first inning of Monday’s game. Right fielder Kyle Tucker holds onto the No. 2 spot. Catcher Will Smith bats third with first baseman Freddie Freeman and third baseman Max Muncy following him.
Left fielder Teoscar Hernandez takes the No. 6 spot, with center fielder Andy Pages dropping a spot following a big night on Monday. Shortstop Hyeseong Kim bats eighth and gives the Dodgers another left-handed bat against the right-handed Nolan McLean, and switch-hitting second baseman Alex Freeland rounds out the lineup.
McLean, one of the favorites for the National league Rookie of the Year award heading into the season, has had a decent first three starts to the season. He’s pitched 16.2 innings, striking out 20 batters and posting a 2.70 ERA.
The Dodgers will hope to come out on top of the pitchers duel and extend their lead atop the NL West, which currently sits at two games.
Yamamoto will throw the first pitch of the game at 7:10 p.m. PT.
