However, Kaoru Mitoma equalised for the visitors in the first half injury time as the two teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Xavi Simons restored Tottenhamâs lead in the 77th minute, but Georginio Rutter equalised for Brighton in injury time. The match ended with Spurs being held to a disappointing 2-2 draw in front of their home fans.
