Manchester United are said to be ‘stepping up [their] interest’ in both Atalanta’s Ederson and West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, according to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas.
It comes ahead of Casemiro’s impending departure next month, with his final home game upcoming this Sunday against Nottingham Forest.

Ederson, 26, agreed personal terms over a transfer to Atletico Madrid back in March, until the deal stalled due to the Spaniards being unwilling to shell out his £39 million price tag.
Manchester United is reportedly interested in Ederson from Atalanta and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham.
Manchester United is looking to sign new players due to Casemiro's impending departure next month.
Casemiro is set to leave Manchester United next month, with his final home game scheduled for this Sunday.

West Ham have two fixtures remaining to determine their fate, while simultaneously wanting favours from Tottenham Hotspur’s last two opponents, Chelsea and Everton.
Either way, Fernandes might be on the move.
He is attracting growing interest, and should United make a formal approach in the coming weeks, it would give him the opportunity to ply his trade in the Champions League.
However, if Nuno Espirito Santo’s men do retain their Premier League status, you’d imagine they’d be demanding an exorbitant fee to part ways with the Portugal youngster after having him in their ranks for only eight months.
