Slot slams āridiculous goalsā conceded by Liverpool and inconsistent refereeing after loss to Man Utd
Liverpool boss Arne Slot slammed the āridiculousā goals his side have been conceding and claimed refereeing decisions have gone against the club all season.
Slotās side were beaten for the 11th time in the Premier League this season with a 3-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Liverpool found themselves two goals down before levelling the score at 2-2 with goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo.
But Kobbie Mainoo struck late to hand United victory.
Slot believes Unitedās second goal probably should have been ruled out for a marginal handball by Benjamin Sesko, but claimed the bigger issue is marginal calls continuing to go against his side.
āIt has been the whole season, every time the same,ā he said.
āI remember PSG at home, getting a penalty for a soft touch on Mac Allister but of course the VAR intervenes and says no this is not a penalty.
āOne week later when I see PSG playing against Bayern Munich, that same soft touch, and the penalty stays.
Arne Slot described the goals conceded by Liverpool as 'ridiculous' following their recent loss.
Liverpool has recorded 11 losses in the Premier League this season.
Liverpool initially fell behind by two goals but equalized with strikes from Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo before ultimately losing 3-2.

āLast week I saw my goalkeeper on the floor with an injury and the referee doesnāt stop the game. I see a player of United off the pitch today and the referee stops the game when we tried to play on.
āThat has been our whole season, but the second goal we did not concede because of that handball, we conceded it because we lost the ball in a stupid position and we lost a few big moments after in duels.
āWe have to first look at ourselves, let that be completely clear and obvious, but decisions every single game have gone against us. Thatās also completely clear and obvious.
āWhen we played United in the first game of the season, I had one of my players with five stitches on the floor and the referee didnāt stop the game and we conceded.
āThis is a complete pattern over the whole season but thereās also a pattern that we concede ridiculous goals when we are the better team, one or two switch off, and then we concede the goal.
āThat is what we have more influence on so I should focus much more on that than on these refereeing decisions that go against us, but itās clear that itās the whole season the same.ā
