Adam Scott is still out there competing at the top of the PGA Tour at the age of 45.
Justin Rose, rightly, gets the plaudits for what heās able to do at the same age, winning on the PGA Tour and fighting for majors, and thatās taken some shine away from his Australian competitor.
Since turning 40, heās never had fewer than five top 20s in a season, and heās already had three top-five finishes in 2026. Scott finished T4 at the Cadillac Championship at Doral in his most recent start, continuing to impress heading into the PGA Championship.
Despite this, Scott hasnāt won since 2020, and the former world number one has just one major to his name, the 2013 Masters. Will he win another? Golf analyst Smylie Kauffman gave his verdict.

After Scottās top five at the Cadillac Championship, Kauffman sang the praises of the āfine wineā, and said he thinks heāll win another major before itās all said and done.
Speaking on The Smylie Show, he said, āThis guy, we always say, ages like a fine wine. Nothing truer than with that gentleman, Adam Scott.
āJust continues to be able to compete at 45 years old, has all the pop in the bat, can get 190 comfortably on the range, which is just insane. I donāt think heās done winning.
āI think heās going to have a swan song. Heās going to win one more major championship. I think heās totally capable of doing it. Heās already finished second at Riviera this year, or I should say I think it was third.
āI think heās finished top three twice. But all to say is that yes, he got off to a poor start and played some tremendous golf the rest of the way.ā
Adam Scott has had three top-five finishes in 2026 and has never finished with fewer than five top 20s in a season since turning 40.
Adam Scott is 45 years old and, while he competes at a high level, Justin Rose has garnered more attention for his recent wins on the PGA Tour at the same age.
Smylie Kaufman discusses Adam Scott's potential to win another major before retiring, highlighting his competitive performances on the PGA Tour.

Itās an optimistic prediction from Kauffman considering Scottās major championship record since 2020. The Aussie has just one top 10 at majors in the last six years.
That came at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon, where Scott finished T10 at even par, eight strokes behind the winner, Xander Schauffele.
In that same time span, Scott has missed the cut six times, including last yearās Masters and Open Championship. His best finish last year was a T12 at the US Open at Oakmont.
Thatās nothing for Scott to be ashamed of. Itās incredible that heās still able to perform so consistently on the PGA Tour at 45. But as for Kauffmanās prediction, it seems far-fetched.
