Steve Kerr reflects on his future after Warriors' elimination

Claremore's girls soccer team achieved a dominant 10-0 victory over Midwest City, while the boys team lost in a penalty shootout after a draw. Both teams faced Pryor in their next match.
From a first-half avalanche to a penalty shootout finish, Thursday night had a little bit of everything.
Claremore’s girls overwhelmed Midwest City in a 10-0 mercy-rule victory to stay unbeaten in District 5A-3, while the boys battled to a draw before falling in a shootout.
Both Zebra squads returned home Friday night for a district rivalry clash against Pryor.
GIRLS: CLAREMORE 10, MWC 0
Claremore buried MWC early.
The Lady Zebras [5-4, 4-0 District 5A-3] scored 7 goals in the first half alone, turning the match into a rout long before halftime and finishing it off with 3 more in the second.
Ella Berglund got things started with 32:15 remaining in the first half, finishing a breakaway from 20 yards out off an assist from Ava Rooney to make it 1-0. Just minutes later, Berglund turned distributor, setting up Alivia Payne for a long-range strike from about 30 yards out to extend the lead to 2-0.
The goals kept coming.
Rooney made it 3-0 off an assist from Payne, then Payne added another unassisted goal with 25:21 left in the half to push the advantage to 4-0.
Rooney struck again with 16:12 remaining, finishing an assist from Avery Roseberry to make it 5-0. Roseberry added another assist moments later, setting up Marlie Gaudette for a 30-yard strike that stretched the lead to 6-0.
Kynlie Ward capped the first-half barrage, scoring off a corner kick scramble with just under a minute left to make it 7-0.
The second half brought more of the same.
Kayci Langley opened the scoring with an unassisted goal at 38:19, followed by Berglund’s second goal of the night — a right-side finish — to make it 9-0.
Rooney closed the scoring with her third goal, another right-side strike with 24:59 remaining, sealing the 10-0 mercy-rule victory.
BOYS: MWC 1 [4], CLAREMORE 1 [2]
The boys match was a much tighter affair, and one that came down to the final kicks.
The Bombers struck first late in the first half when D’Ayvion Futter broke free on a breakaway and scored with about 12 minutes remaining, giving MWC a 1-0 lead.
Claremore answered in the second half, though.
With 8:17 remaining, Jaxon Burton converted a penalty kick after the Bombers’ Jaden Campos was issued a yellow card for an illegal tackle, tying the match at 1.
Neither team could find a winner in regulation or extra time, sending the game to a shootout.
The Zebras’ Alejandro Gonzalez and Gio Navarette each converted their attempts, but MWC answered with 4 successful kicks from Tyler Johnson, Ezekiel Allen, Remiel Maxey and Futter.
Johnson delivered the decisive kick, giving the Bombers the shootout victory.
The final score was Claremore 10, Midwest City 0.
The Claremore boys soccer team drew with Midwest City but lost in a penalty shootout.
Claremore's soccer teams will face Pryor in their next match.
