Kadyn Proctor was selected as the first Alabama player in the 2026 NFL draft, going No. 12 overall to the Miami Dolphins. His pick follows Alabama safety Caleb Downs at No. 11 and quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 13.
On Thursday night, Kadyn Proctor became the first Alabama Crimson Tide player selected in the 2026 NFL draft.
Proctor was selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the first round, drafted by the Miami Dolphins. His selection was just a pick after former Alabama safety Caleb Downs at No. 11 to the Dallas Cowboys, as well as one before Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson to the Los Angeles Rams at No. 13.
A three-year starter at left tackle for Alabama, Proctor's selection marks the third-straight year the Crimson Tide have had an offensive lineman drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. Proctor joins Tyler Booker from a year ago, as well as JC Latham in 2024.
Following is a look at how social media reacted Thursday night to the Dolphins selecting Proctor in the NFL draft.

The @MiamiDolphins just got a WALL OF MASS in Kadyn Proctor. At 6’7” 352lbs, Proctor’s 32.5” vertical and low-5.2s 40 is a rare size and movement combo. His anchor is heavy and his initial punch knocks rushers off balance. He is a body displacer in the run game. An UNCOMMON… pic.twitter.com/xWbN2Z2gPQ
