Don't cry because it's over. But smile because the final week of the regular season featured some of the gutsiest performances of the softball season.

Facing CR North, the 8th-ranked team in District One Class 6A, Slack delivered a shutout win, giving up five hits and no walks while striking out four in an abbreviated 11-0 win. She also did damage at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three runs.
Of her three hits against Dock Mennonite, two were home runs, as Snyder drove in six in the 12-2 win.
With two outs in the top of the eighth, Helmsetter hit a two-run double that gave the Patriots a huge win over Pennridge to secure the final spot in the District One 6A playoffs.

Her two-run, go-ahead single in the fifth gave Neshaminy an 8-6 win over CR North in an important SOL Patriot Division matchup. McCafferty drove in four of Neshaminy’s six runs with three hits, including a home run.
Mormello hit a go-ahead RBI single in the fifth inning against Bensalem, giving Neshaminy a 4-3 win to close out the regular season.
In another sensational outing, Mobley was nearly perfect against South Hunterdon, giving up only a lone hit. Through seven innings, Mobley struck out 12 batters with no walks in an 8-0 win.
Hitting leadoff, Foster had two hits and drove in four runs in an 8-0 win over South Hunterdon.
Connolly struck out 18 batters while giving up a single hit and two walks as the Knights closed out the regular season with a 6-1 win over New Hope-Solebury and clinched the No. 1 seed in the District One 6A tournament.

The freshman secured the Falcons’ 10th straight win in their final game of the regular season, giving up three hits, two walks and no earned runs while striking out seven for a 4-1 victory against CR South. Pennsbury’s last loss came against CR South on April 14.
With a playoff berth on the line, Karpovich threw one of her best games of the season, giving up four hits while striking out five to secure a 5-1 win over Upper Merion in a complete-game effort.
