Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham was re-baptized on her own "terms" ahead of the WNBA season.
Cunningham, 29, shared the video of her baptism at Christ's Church of the Valley in Peoria, Ariz., in a TikTok on Wednesday, April 15. "I got baptized when I was little but I was feeling a tug on my heart to do it on my terms as an adult," the Fever guard wrote in her caption.
Cunningham said it was "such a fun, amazing day," and added, "Thank you Jesus" to her caption.

Cunningham, who just re-signed with the Fever to play alongside for another season, has been vocal about her faith over the years. Her pinned post on X reads, "everything happens for a reason is not in the bible but 'God promises to work all things to good for those who love him' is. Romans 8:28." She also regularly re-shares content from faith-based accounts on and Instagram Stories.

Last September, as the Fever headed to the WNBA playoffs, Cunningham shared words of encouragement.
"God is moving and I think everyone can feel a shift," she wrote on Sept. 14, adding, "Stay in the word. Be strong and courageous. Remain BOLD. and with that being said, happy Sunday & happy playoffs!"
Cunningham is returning to the Fever on a one-year deal worth $665,000, the team announced on April 12.
"I have a feeling this is going to be another special season, so I'm excited to get things started and to, of course, keep playing in front of the best fans in the WNBA. Let's get spicy," she said in a statement announcing her re-signing.
Before joining the Fever, Cunningham played for the Phoenix Mercury. In July 2025, the WNBA star announced a podcast called Show Me Something co-hosted with Summer House star West Wilson, a fellow native of Missouri.
