Sophie Cunningham joins USA Network as WNBA contributor, studio analyst

Sophie Cunningham has joined USA Network as a WNBA contributor and studio analyst for the 2026 season while remaining an unrestricted free agent. She will balance her new media role with her playing career in the WNBA.
Sophie Cunningham entered the WNBA offseason as an unrestricted free agent after finishing the 2025 regular season with the Indiana Fever. With her next destination still unknown, the guard is already making moves off the court and she will join USA Network as a WNBA contributor for the 2026 season.
Cunningham will appear as a WNBA contributor and studio analyst throughout the upcoming season. Her role comes as part of USA Network’s 11-year media deal with the league, which will see the network broadcast at least 50 games beginning in 2026 and running through 2036.
The five-year WNBA veteran brings plenty of media experience to the role. She previously served as a guest analyst on the Phoenix Suns' pre- and postgame broadcasts in 2022 and currently co-hosts a podcast called "Show Me Something," which she created with a friend.
It remains unclear where Cunningham will play next season, but she has been candid about the fact that retirement is not on the table. She plans to balance her new broadcast role alongside her playing career.
