TheĀ Indiana FeverĀ have re-signed guard Sophie Cunningham to a one-year deal, the team announced Sunday.
CunninghamĀ tore the MCL in her right kneeĀ during a game against the Connecticut Sun in August, which ended her 2025 season. The 28-year-old had surgery and has said on her "Show Me Something" podcast she is healthy and ready to go.
The Fever also signed Kelsey Mitchell to a one-year deal. It makes sense given both guard Caitlin Clark and center Aliyah Boston will be eligible for big bumps next season and it will be challenging to fit all of their talent under the cap. Lexie Hull also returns and Monique BillingsĀ and Ty Harris have been added in free agency.
Cunningham started 13 games for the Fever after coming over from the Phoenix Mercury, where she spent her first six seasons after being drafted No. 13 overall in 2019 out of Missouri. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists this season.
