
Skidding Mets get cold reception in chilly Queens
Mets return home to chilly reception from fans during 11-game losing streak.

Saranac defeated Beekmantown 8-5 with a four-run seventh inning, marking their first win of the season. The game featured a comeback after trailing 3-1 and 5-4 at different points.
BEEKMANTOWN ā Saranac used a four-run seventh to come from behind to beat Beekmantown on Monday, 8-5.
It would be the Spartansā (1-3, 1-2) first win on the season that came in cold and windy conditions.
After falling behind 3-1 in the top of the third, Beekmantown scored three of its own runs to retake the lead at 4-3.
Max Coryer tied the game again in the top of the sixth, only for the Eaglesā Phoenix Kelley singling in Sully Loughan in the bottom half.
With the score set at 5-4, Saranac went to work. The Spartansā used smallball ā singles, walks and stolen bases ā to work around the infield. Two singles scored three runs, the fourth on a wild pitch, to come from behind and win.
Adrian Barnes picked up the win for Saranac, striking out five while giving up 11 hits. Bryson Recore took the loss for Beekmantown.
The Eaglesā Owen Rankin, who started the game on the mound, had three hits, with his first being a home run.
Barnes and Ian Lawrenz had doubles for Saranac.

Thirteen different J/M players saw action as Cole Millington recorded four RBIs while going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Millington, Jeremiah Freebern, Liam McKinney and Tristan Campbell had extra base hits for an Irish Jags team that scored all of its runs in the first three innings.

The Eagles used five different pitchers. Each pitched one inning against the Orange.
Andy Morehouse, Lance Corey, Will Hens, Thomas Williams and John Roemer combined for the three-hitter. They threw a collective eight strikeouts.
Jace Hubert went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and five RBIs to lead Bolton. Jacob French hit a double, triple and had four RBIs.
The Orangeās Charlie Seamen had the lone extra base hit for his team, which was a double. He also had two RBIs.

WESTPORT ā Boquet Valley held a 1-0 lead after two innings
Thatās when Schroon Lake/Newcombās bats woke up, scoring eight runs in the third and piling nine more over the next two innings to defeat the Griffins, 17-3.
Daniel Pelkey had two hits with both being doubles. Jayce Emmert had a double and Nate Melville laced a triple to lead the Wild Huskies.
Schroon Lake/Newcomb brought their bats, collecting 10 hits and 17 runs. BVCS played well early then battled in the fifth, loading the bases with no outs only to have the Wild Huskies turn a triple play to end the game.
Jacob Spelman of BVCS got his first varsity hit to start the seventh inning rally.
