
Bournemouth reach agreement to appoint Rose as Iraola successor
Bournemouth has reached an agreement to appoint Marco Rose as their new head coach, succeeding Andoni Iraola.
Plymouth South sophomore Giovanni Santosuosso recently won the Old Colony Memorial’s Winter MVP poll. The spring sports season is underway, and nominations for the first Athlete of the Week are now open.
Just a moment ago we were congratulating Plymouth South sophomore Giovanni Santosuosso for winning the Old Colony Memorial’s Winter MVP poll. And now, in the blink of an eye, we are a quarter of the way into the spring sports season.
It has been a busy couple of weeks, and we have a solid group of nominees for the first Old Colony Memorial Athlete of the Week of the spring season.

Stasinos surrendered two hits and struck out six on April 9 for the Eagles in a 12-0 win over Hingham.
Plymouth North boys lacrosse senior captains Jake Turchinetz and Logan Perry both broke 100 career points last week in a loss to Pembroke
Turchinetz and Perry both reached 100 career points April 9 in a 13-9 loss to Pembroke High
King made her first varsity game impactful on April 2 with four hits and 6 RBIs in a win over Duxbury High.
The Blue Eagles captain started the season in fine fashion April 3. He limited Quincy High to one hit, walked nobody, and struck out 13 in a 6-0 win over Quincy.
DePaul slugged a two-run walk off double April 3 for South in a 6-5 win over Duxbury.
Miraglia lost only one game April 9 for his 6-1, 6-0 victory in a 4-1 overall win over Hanover.
Dudley defeated Donovan Carver 4-6, 6-1, and then went to a third set tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5) to provide the winning margin for the Panthers April 10 in a 3-2 win over Scituate.
The poll includes players from Plymouth North, Plymouth South, and the Rising Tide Charter School. Votes are unlimited. Voting closes each Sunday at noon. Emailed votes will not be counted.
