ESPNâs Adam Schefter posted on Monday, May 11, that Pittsburgh signed kicker Chris Boswell to a four-year, $28 million extension.

The $7 million average annual value ties Boswell with Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey for the highest among kickers. The deal keeps Boswell with the Steelers through 2030.
The 35-year-old Boswell has spent all 11 of his NFL seasons with Pittsburgh.

Boswell has made 299 of 341 field-goal attempts (87.7 percent) and 353 of 369 extra points (95.7 percent) during his Steelers career. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2024 and is a two-time Pro Bowl pick.
In 2025, Boswell connected on 27 of 32 field-goal tries, including his first 60-yarder.
Dallas signed Aubrey, 31, to a four-year, $28 million extension on April 20.

Meanwhile, 42-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers has yet to make a decision about whether he will return to Pittsburgh.
Reports indicated late last week that Rodgers planned to visit Pittsburgh over the weekend and would likely sign a new contract.
âAaron Rodgers was not at the facility once,â Schefter said Monday. âThe Steelers have a voluntary offseason workout program that begins one week from today. ⊠I know last year Rodgers didnât show up with the Steelers until June. If heâs going to re-sign, I donât know why that wouldnât be done sometime in the next week.â
The 42-year-old Rodgers led the Steelers to a 10-7 record and an AFC North title in 2025. He passed for 3,322 yards and 24 touchdowns against seven interceptions. Pittsburgh fell 30-6 to the Houston Texans in the AFC wild-card playoffs.
