Steelers GM Omar Khan provided an unclear update on Aaron Rodgers, stating communication is positive but no changes have occurred. With the NFL Draft approaching, uncertainty remains about Rodgers' decision and its impact on the Steelers' plans.

On Monday, Pittsburgh Steelers General Manager Omar Khan gave a cryptic update on the situation with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, According to Khan, “We’ve had great communication with Aaron .” Khan said. “Everything is positive and good. Nothing has changed.” The Steelers are set to host the 2026 NFL Draft in just a few days.
But as Rodgers remains unsigned and the draft nearly here, something isn't adding up. Back at the owners meetings, Steelers team President Art Rooney II went on record saying the team wasn't going to drag this situation out as long as last season and he expected an answer from Rodgers before the draft.
So either Rooney wasn't being honest or he wasn't given good information. I tend to lean that Rooney was told there would be an answer but now that it's almost the draft and the Steelers have done nothing about the quarterback position, Rodgers has the team over a barrel and can wait as long as he likes.
Khan also said that Rodgers decision wouldn't impact their draft plans but to be fair that's not entirely true. The main reason the Steelers probably won't select a quarterback high in the draft is because aside from Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, this quarterback class has more questions than answers.

While Khan stated Rodgers' decision wouldn't impact their draft plans, the Steelers are unlikely to select a quarterback high due to the overall quality of this year's quarterback class.
The NFL Draft is set to occur in just a few days, with the Steelers hosting the event in 2026.
