On Monday, the Steelers announced the signing of Michigan center Greg Crippen, who went unselected in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Steelers waived offensive tackle Sataoa Laumea in a corresponding move.
Crippen, who attended the Steelersā rookie minicamp as a tryout participant, appeared in 41 games and made 21 starts in his collegiate career.
Earning himself a starting role with Michigan in 2025, Crippen was named an All-Big Ten honorable mention for his efforts.
Set to compete with Ryan McCollum for the backup center job, Crippen has a real opportunity to make the 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie and secure a spot behind starter Zach Frazier.
