ESPN analyst Stephen A Smith made a shocking revelation about the Los Angeles Lakers' supposed internal feelings about LeBron James and his agency, Klutch Sports.
In a recent episode of First Take, Smith said deep down, the Lakers do not like James and Klutch Sports.
“Have the Lakers taken LeBron James for granted? Sure. But let’s put it where the ghost can get it Perk. They don’t particularly like him. That’s what this is about. They’ll never admit that…. You know that Klutch and Rich Paul and LeBron has turned them off…. He is one of the greatest manipulators of narratives we’ve ever seen. There’s very few people on planet earth more skilled and committed to controlling narratives than him.”
Things between the Lakers and James haven't always been smooth throughout their partnership.
At best, it's a complicated relationship between all parties involved. While James did all he could to restore the Laker name and bring them back to relevancy, there has been some tension, more so with James' agent, Rich Paul.
Earlier this year, ESPN's Baxter Holmes indicated that Lakers minority owner Jeanie Buss became frustrated with what she viewed as James and Klutch having too much organizational power.
Stephen A. Smith stated that the Lakers do not particularly like LeBron James and feel turned off by his agency, Klutch Sports.
The Lakers reportedly feel that LeBron James has manipulated narratives and believe they have taken him for granted.
Smith's comments could strain the Lakers' relationship with LeBron James and influence public perception of their internal dynamics.

There's been a bit of tug-of-war between the two sides for much of the past decade.
Now the big question is whether this relationship still has enough left to continue, or if the two sides are headed toward a split. James is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, leaving his future in Los Angeles hanging in the balance.
At the same time, the Lakers have plenty of other issues to address this offseason beyond James.
