Napheesa Collier signs supermax contract to return to the Lynx

Seven basketball players from the Miami Valley have been invited to the OHSBCA All-Star Game, including three boys and four girls. Notable players include CJ Bailey, who earned first-team all-Ohio honors, and Trey Sagester, who averaged 25.0 points per game and surpassed 2,000 career points.
Three boys and four girls from the Miami Valley will play in the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game.
Tippecanoe’s CJ Bailey, Tri-Village’s Trey Sagester, and Wayne’s Isaiah Thompson will represent the area on the boys South team.
Four girls will represent the South team — Bella Cherry of Tri-County North, Alex Dixon of Urbana, Katey Litten of Versailles and Kaylah Thornton of Fairmont.
Bailey earned first-team all-Ohio honors in Division III and was the Southwest District Player of the Year as picked by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. He scored 14.9 points per game and had 4.9 assists per game this season.
Sagester was selected as the D-VI Player of the Year, averaging 25.0 ppg. He eclipsed 2,000 career points during the season and was a finalist for the Mr. Basketball award.
Thompson was a honorable mention selection in D-I and first-team All-GWOC player, leading Wayne in scoring (12.1), assists (4.5) and steals (3.2) per game.
Cherry got honorable mention honors in D-VI after being named first-team All-Southwest District. She led the WOAC in points (18.1) and steals (6.1) while finishing second in assists (3.9).
Dixon is a third-team All-Ohio pick in D-IV this season and averaged 22.3 ppg. She was the Player of the Year in the CBC’s Kenton Trail Division.
Litten earned second-team All-Ohio honors in D-V and Player of the Year status in the Southwest District. She averaged 14.4 ppg and 4.3 apg this season.
Thornton, a Ms. Basketball finalist, made first-team All-Ohio for D-I and led Fairmont to a state championship. She led the GWOC in scoring (18.2) and steals (4.0) and was named as the Player of the Year in D-I by the OHSBCA.
The OHSBCA announced the 12-player rosters for the North and South teams on Friday.
Dayton commit Julian Washington also was selected to play on the boys North team.
The game will be held on April 24 at Olentangy Liberty High School.
The boys selected are CJ Bailey from Tippecanoe, Trey Sagester from Tri-Village, and Isaiah Thompson from Wayne.
