Baseball district tournament draws for all divisions saw a few teams get No. 1-seeds as expected, with a few surprises thrown in as well, as released Sunday, May 10, and Monday, May 11.
The final seeds were determined by a coaches vote and not through the MaxPreps RPI formula used by the Ohio High School Athletic Association in most other sports.
Season records closed Wednesday, May 6, at midnight. All games played after and upcoming regular season results that remain do not factor into the final seed order or postseason determination. Seed voting took place throughout the remainder of the week.
District play begins Monday, May 18, and finals take place on both May 28 and 29. All games leading into the district final round will be held at the higher seed’s field. District final games will take place at sites to be determined.
Regional finals will be on either June 3 or 4. The state finals at Akron’s Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium will be held June 11-14. Exact dates of state semifinals and finals games for each division have not yet been announced by the OHSAA.
