He believes that the storm clouds are gathering over Stamford Bridge and Chelsea Football Club, and all the signs are not good at all.

Wyness, who has a lot of experience of running a football club of course, is seeing the players unrest, the manager issues, and the ownership issues, and he is predicting a real dooms day scenario for a once great club who would be challenging for it all season after season.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness doubts that the club will be able to push forward with the current uncertainty and unrest at Stamford Bridge.
He said:

“For the Blues, I see a lot of red lights flashing right now for next season.
“I see a lot of unrest in the players. We’ve seen all the management unrest. We’ve seen unrest off the pitch in the boardroom. Everything is not going right for them right now.
“They’ve got a very high-risk, high-debt strategy. I really worry that Chelsea could become a real cropper. We’ve seen Spurs get into trouble. I’m not quite saying Chelsea for next season could be the same as Spurs, but I don’t see them pushing forward.
“I see them dropping back to mid-table or worse. I do see some storm clouds gathering off the pitch financially as well. So I’m really quite concerned about Chelsea.”
Liam Delap has said Chelsea have the belief they can finish in the top five and win the FA Cup despite their struggles this season. I’d like some of his positivity!
And on Delap, we are already hearing the excuses about why he has not been playing well in a Chelsea shirt since arriving in the summer. We’re all tired of excuses to be honest.
