Before the Ohio High School Athletic Association boys tennis postseason can begin, there's another season milestone that must come first to challenge teams across Cincinnati: the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association Coaches Classic.
The Coaches Classic brings together teams from across the city each year to a number of different locations. This year, the Coaches Classic will have 52 teams (including some "A" and "B" teams from schools) at 13 locations.
Here are some things to know for the 2026 Coaches Classic on May 2.

Most flight are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m. and are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
Flight A at Mason: Centerville "A", Indian Hill, Mason "A", Springboro "A", St. Xavier "A", Sycamore "A"
Flight B at Loveland: Lakota East, Loveland, Mason "B
Flight C at Lakota West: Lakota West, Milford, Moeller "A", Walnut Hills
Flight D at St. Xavier: Little Miami, Mariemont, Seven Hills "A", St. Xavier "B"
Flight E at Sycamore: CHCA, Summit Country Day, Sycamore "B", Turpin
Flight F at Centerville: Centerville "B", Fairfield, Kings, Oak Hills
Flight G at Anderson: Anderson, Bethel-Tate, Springboro "B", Waynesville

To see some the top players in Cincinnati, the teams of Flight A certainly bring the heat.
Last season, Sycamore won Flight A, followed closely by Indian Hill and Mason, with St. Xavier finishing in fourth place. This year, those four teams are back to compete with each other, but with Centerville and Springboro joining for even more competition.
A potential highlight could be a meeting between Mason's Greg Bernadsky and St. Xavier's Nihal Narisetty. Bernadsky and Narisetty met in the finals of the sectional, district and state tournaments last year with Bernadsky winning all three.
Mason also brings back Janek Teply, who teamed with Daniel Tonkal to qualify for the state tournament. Springboro's Peyton Nelson and Indian Hill's Neelan Gandhi, Grareth Kurowski and Jeremy Starczynowski were also competitors in the OHSAA tournament last year.
Seven Hills senior Adi Nayak, a two-time Division II state qualifier and one-time placer, can be seen at Flight D at St. Xavier against Little Miami, Mariemont and St. Xavier's "B" team.
The Coaches Classic is one of the final meets before the OHSAA postseason draw.
According to the OHSAA season calendar, the tournament draw is slated for May 3 with the sectional rounds running from May 11 to May 16.
District play follows from May 18 to May 23 and the OHSAA state tournament will be on May 28 and May 29 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
